About the Artist

Hello!

My name is Matias(Mati) Turunen, I am a storyboard artist and animator based in New York City. I am currently studying for a bachelor’s degree in animation at the School of Visual Arts (SVA).

I have experience boarding and animating for multiple projects like the Quasar Trailer and my student film Heart Break Havoc. In my spare time I work with a team on my weekly comic Poly Emo Boys, which has been running for over a year now!

When I’m not being creative, you can find me at the gym or playing volleyball at Central Park!
